From Tehran to Tafarsh

Off the Beaten Path: A Journey from Tehran to Tafarsh

Some Tehranis have an unknown destination when they leave Tehran. The congestion and traffic of the northern routes, on the one hand, and the repetition of goals, on the other hand, make the capital residents always look for new and different destinations. If you are among this group of Tehranis, we have an additional offer for you.

Here, we marvel at the historical treasures of Dokhtar Castle, the underground city of Ave, and the Jame Mosque, immersing ourselves in the area’s rich heritage. Despite a day filled with exploration, we proceed to Qom to benefit from its accommodation facilities, preparing for the adventures ahead.

Day 3: Kashan's Elegance and Culture

On the third day, we set off from Qom to Kashan, dedicating our time to discovering this city’s elegant cultural sites. The itinerary includes the verdant Fin Garden, the ancient Sialk Hill, the bustling Bazaar, and the Agha Bozorg Mosque. For those visiting in spring, a detour to Qamsar to witness the traditional Gulab Giri (rosewater distillation) workshops is a must. Our night is spent in the picturesque village of Barzok, setting the stage for the next day’s journey to Dilijan.

Day 4: Dilijan's Caves and Khoreh's Columns

In Dilijan, we explore the awe-inspiring “Chal Nakhjir” cave, a natural wonder that captivates with its subterranean beauty. For enthusiasts of flora, a visit to the local greenhouses offers a glimpse into the region’s horticultural practices. Our exploration then leads us to Khorheh to admire its Greek-style stone columns, a testament to the area’s historical significance. Our day concludes with a restful night in Ashtian, where we visit the mansion of Mostofi al-Mamalek and the Ashtian Museum, along with the villages of Aho and Shahrab, absorbing the local culture and heritage.
