Exploring Nomadic Life and Culture
In this adventure, we journey from Shiraz to the hinterlands behind Shah Bahrami and the nomadic regions. Along the way, we pass by the nomadic tents that still move seasonally to sustain their way of life. To get a closer look at these nomads, we stopped in the Sepidar Valley and became guests in the home of a Qashqai nomadic family. This Qashqai family will introduce us to their rich cultural heritage, including arts such as black tent weaving, derma, chenar, gilim, and gomme. Together with them, we will engage in activities such as gathering firewood, dairy production, animal husbandry, and cooking. After a hearty lunch, we head to the Sepidar Valley to harvest medicinal herbs and brew herbal tea, all by the stunning beauty of the Zagros mountain range.
