Captivating Iran: A 6-Day Honeymoon Itinerary
Most honeymooners choose the typical hot spots for their travels. Hawaii is always famous for its gorgeous beaches and sunsets, France brings in the wine-dabbling couples looking for European flare, and Las Vegas is sure to attract teams to flamboyant entertainment. A week holed up in a beach bungalow or a romantic tour of the City of Lights is an excellent way to spend one’s honeymoon.
But we’d argue it can be a bit cliché, and you’re not just any other couple, right? If you and your significant other identify more with the less-than-traditional set of newlyweds, why not jet off to some exotic, unexpected locale instead?
Some honeymoon locations are entirely outside of the box.
Iran is a great example; honeymoons are a period that every couple will remember for the rest of their lives. If you are an adventurous couple or you are someone who always thinks outside of the box, then visit Iran for your honeymoon.
The demand has been so high recently that we have offered an exclusive itinerary for the newly married. Honeymooners email us from all over the world.
Taking the road less traveled for a honeymoon can be all the more romantic now that you have someone else to protect you. So before you book that all-inclusive in the Caribbean, give our honeymoon tour a look.
Our honeymoon tour has what every couple would wish for; sandy beach, old bazaars, dream-like architecture and breathtaking gardens—or the three words: Kish, Isfahan, Shiraz.

Day 1: Shiraz
A few international airlines connect Shiraz to the rest of the world (Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines and Air Arabia).
Upon arrival, you will be met and greeted at Shiraz airport and transferred to a 5-star hotel in Shiraz.
In the afternoon, you will have a tour of Shiraz’s gardens. There are various kinds of roses in these protected gardens. It’s a great start to a fantastic honeymoon. These gardens are Eram Palace, Narajestan Garden and Afifabad Museum.
Overnight Shiraz.
Day 2: Shiraz - Kish Island
We will start our Shiraz tour by the Karmikhani complex, the residential palace of the Zand dynasty. Karim Khan Zand, the founder of the Zand dynasty, chose Shiraz as his capital and declared himself as “Vakil,” the lawyer of the nation, rather than a king. We continue to Vakil complex, Vakil Mosque, Bazar and public bath remaining from his reign. We also visit the colorful Nasirolmolk mosque.
In the afternoon, you will fly to Kish Island, and after your transfer to the hotel, you can stroll around this beautiful island and perhaps have a cup of coffee with the locals.
Overnight Kish.
Day 3: Kish Island
You will relax at Kish’s sandy beach. In the afternoon, we will have another tour of Kish Island, where you can also enjoy this beautiful island by riding a bicycle along the sandy beaches. A visit to the old town will show you the traditional way of local life. We will eat at one of Kish’s great seafood restaurants in the evening while enjoying the local music.
Overnight Kish.
Day 4: Kish Island
You will have another wonderful sunny morning in Kish, where you can do lots of other activities, such as swimming, snorkeling, water sports or shopping, before transferring to Kish International Airport for your flight to Isfahan. Arrive in Isfahan, meet and greet with your local guide, and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight Isfahan.
Day 5: Isfahan
In the morning, we start our full-day tour of Isfahan at the UNESCO world heritage site of Naghsh-e-Jahan Sq. Once a royal polo court, this site was the official center of the city when the city was the Safavid Capital (17th Century). We will visit the famous Imam Mosque (Royal Mosque), the square’s southern side with incredible architecture and tile-work. In the afternoon, We will head to the banks of the Zayanderud River, the city’s soul. Several historical bridges over this river were erected during the Safavid era (17th Century). Siosepol (33-arch) and Khaju bridges are the most famous ones. We enjoy visiting these two interesting bridges, drinking tea at the tea house below the bridge, walking along the river bank or paddling on a boat from one to the other.
Overnight Isfahan.
Day 6: Departure
Transfer to Isfahan’s international airport for your departure flight home.
