Day 1: Tehran
Arrival, meet and greet at the airport, transfer to hotel. Depending on your flight arrival, we will begin a full-day tour of the capital, Tehran (If you arrive in the early morning hours, you will need an extra night in Tehran). You will start with a walking tour through old Tehran and visit the old Gate of Tehran, Golestan Palaces, Imam (former Royal) Mosque, and the Grand Bazaar, a large roofed old shopping complex. Overnight Tehran.
Day 2: Kish Island
Morning tour of Tehran: Visit the northern suburbs of Tehran to visit the Sa’ad Abad complex, packed with old palaces and fascinating museums of contemporary Iran.
Transfer to Tehran’s Mehr Abad Airport for your afternoon flight to Kish Island.
Spicing up your itinerary with a visit to the pearl of the Persian Gulf will be the perfect start to your Iran tour outside Tehran’s capital. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel, and later in the afternoon, you will have time on the beautiful Kish Island, where you will visit its attractions such as themed water parks, dolphin and Crocodile Park, its luxury restaurants, and hotels or you can relax by the beach. Day 3: Kish Island – Female-only beaches.
You will relax at Kish’s sandy beach. In the afternoon, we will have another tour of Kish Island, where you can also enjoy this beautiful island by riding a bicycle along the sandy beaches. Visiting the old town will show you the traditional way of local life. We will eat at one of Kish’s great seafood restaurants in the evening while enjoying the local music. Overnight Kish.
Day 4: Kish Island – Shiraz (more shopping and beach)
You will have another wonderful sunny morning in Kish, where you can do many other activities, such as swimming, snorkeling, water sports, or shopping, before ring transfer to Kish International Airport for your flight to Shiraz. Arrive in Shiraz, meet and greet with your local guide, and transfer to the hotel. Overnight Shiraz.
Day 5: Shiraz – Ghalat (culinary tours)
We will start our Shiraz tour by visiting the tombs of world-famous poets Saadi and Hafez; we will then continue visiting Shiraz’s beautiful gardens; they say no visit to Shiraz is complete without seeing its glorious gardens. After visiting Hafez’s tomb, we will head to Bagh e Jahan Nama Garden, Eram Garden, an old palace in Shiraz’s center, our last visit before lunch. We will head to Ghalat, a beautiful sleepy village outside Shiraz, with lots of greenery and natural waterfalls for lunch. Ghalat is very popular with the locals and is an excellent place to hang out with the people of Shiraz and enjoy delicious local cuisine. After lunch, we will head to the waterfalls and have coffee before returning to Shiraz. We will stay with a local family at night, and our overseas chef will show you how to cook Persian dishes. Day 6: Shiraz – Persepolis- Shiraz
On an excursion day, you will visit the most magnificent city of the ancient world, Persepolis, which is now registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Persepolis was the ceremonial capital of the Persian Empire during the Achemaenian era. The site comprises various reception halls and palaces, private palaces, royal treasury, and fortifications, where we find the tomb of Cyrus the Great and remains of Achaemenian palaces and edifices. In the afternoon, we will visit Eram Garden, Naranjestan Palace, the tombs of world famous poets Hafez and Saadi, Qoran Gate, Khajoo tomb, and Shah e Cheragh Shrine. Overnight Shiraz.
Day 7: Shiraz – Bavanat (eco-tour)
Today, we will drive to the village of Bavanat, the hub of Iran’s eco-tourism, where you can stroll in the beautiful nature of the Zagros mountain range. You will be served and guided by female tour guides; we will continue sightseeing in Bavanat village to visit its beautiful walnut forests, Imamzadeh, and Qanats, the traditional system of Iranians for distributing water. (Visiting nomads depends on your travel date, i.e., you can have a memorable experience of nomad living in April and September). Overnight Bavanat.
Day 9: Yazd
Full-day city tour of Yazd to visit Towers of Silence, Fire Temple, Friday Mosque, Dowlat-Abad Gardens, Zoorkhaneh (Power House), Amir Chakhmakh Square, and the local bazaar. Overnight Yazd.
Day 10: Yazd - Bafgh
In the morning, we start another fantastic day in the central deserts of Iran with an excursion to the Bafgh Desert. This dessert is very popular with locals and travelers alike. There are so many activities to do besides trekking. These activities include camel riding, season allowing (Optional – Camel riding is not included in this tour, and extra charges will occur if you wish to ride a camel)., night treks, visiting ancient villages, and even eating and mingling with the locals. Day 11: Yazd – Isfahan
Drive to Isfahan. Arrive in the afternoon and transfer to the Hotel. In the evening, we will head to the banks of the Zayanderud River, the city’s soul. Several historical bridges over this river were erected during the Safavid era (17th Century). Siosepol (33-arch) and Khaju bridges are the most famous ones. We enjoy visiting these two interesting bridges, drinking tea at the tea house below the bridge, walking along the river bank, or paddling on a boat from one to the other. Overnight Isfahan.
Day 12: Isfahan
Iran Women’s Tour continues!
In the morning, we start our full-day tour of Isfahan at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Naghsh-e-Jahan Sq. Once a royal polo court, this site was the official center of the city when it was the Safavid Capital (17th Century). We will visit the famous Imam Mosque (Royal Mosque) on the square’s southern side, which has architecture and tile work. We then visited the multistory Aliqapu Palace, which stood on the square’s western side, from which the Safavid kings used to view the polo games and ceremonies. Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque (or Ladies Mosque) is located on the opposite side of the square and is visited next. Overnight Isfahan.
Day 13: Isfahan - Departure
Starting another wonderful day in Isfahan, we start in the morning by visiting the Friday Mosque, followed by Chehelsotun (forty columns) palace. We will then visit Vank Cathedral and the Armenian quarter of the city. You will be transferred to Isfahan’s international airport for your departure flight home in the evening.
