Thanks to good diplomatic relations between our countries. It is straightforward for Australian citizens to obtain an Iranian Visa on arrival. You will get a 14 days visa at the airport, and we can extend your access for another 14 days if you want to stay longer.

Or, we can apply for your visa to be issued at the nearest Iranian embassy/consulate worldwide (tickets are currently issued in Canberra for Australian citizens).

8 Days
Day 1: Tehran
Arrival, meet and greet at the airport, transfer to hotel.
A full-day tour of the capital, Tehran. We are starting with a walking tour through old Tehran and visiting the old Gate of Tehran, Golestan Palaces, Imam (former Royal) Mosque, and Grand Bazaar, a large roofed old shopping complex. We will then get more familiar with Persian Carpets at the Carpet Museum. Overnight Tehran.
Day 2: Tehran – Kashan – Abiyaneh
Morning drive to Kashan and Abiyaneh. You will head to Kashan city with its famous and traditional Fin Garden. There are also some ancient sites in Kashan, for example, Sialk Hill which is more than 6000 years old. After lunch at one of Kashan’s traditional houses, such as “Manouchehri House,” which is very popular amongst tourists in Iran, you will visit the world-famous Abiyaneh village, a fascinating village with ochre-colored houses, lattice windows, fragile wooden balconies, and many splendid views. Abyaneh village is one of Iran’s most stunning and exciting tourist attractions from various viewpoints. During your Iran visit, visiting this village will be an unforgettable experience. Day 3: Isfahan
Short drive to Isfahan. After checking in to your hotel, we’ll start our full-day tour of Isfahan at the UNESCO world heritage site of Naghsh-e-Jahan Sq. Once a royal polo court, this site was the official center of the city when the city was the Safavid Capital (17th Century). We will visit the famous Imam Mosque (Royal Mosque) on the square’s southern side with incredible architecture and tile-work. Day 4: Isfahan
We start another full-day tour in Isfahan, where we will visit the Grand Mosque, followed by Chehelsotun (forty columns) palace. We will then see the Vank Cathedral and the city’s Armenian Quarter. The evening will be walking by the banks of the Zayanderud River, the city’s soul. Several historical bridges over this river were erected during the Safavid era (17th Century). Siosepol (33-arch) and Khaju bridges are the most famous ones. We enjoy visiting these two interesting bridges, drinking tea at the tea house below the bridge, walking along the river bank, or paddling on a boat from one to the other. Overnight Isfahan
Day 5: Isfahan – Sepidan
Drive to Sepidan, located in the heart of the Zagrus Mountain; this is one of the most famous nomad routes in Iran, frequented by many different tribes; this road is off the touristy track where you will be able to see the real life of Iran’s countryside, with fantastic mountain sceneries. On our way, we will visit the cities of Shahr Reza, Semirom, and Yasuj using beautiful roads. Depending on the season you travel, we may be able to visit these tribes en route as we will spend some quality time with the local people seeing their daily life and traditions. Sepidan Area is rich in flora and has several springs and waterfalls. One of the eye-catching flowers in this area is Fritillaria imperialis. We’ll have a delicious outside dinner prepared by a local cook. Sleep overnight in this beautiful village. Overnight Speidan Village.
Day 6: Shiraz
After a short drive to Shiraz, we will start our Shiraz tour by the Karmikhani complex, the residential palace of the Zand dynasty. Karim Khan Zand, the founder of the Zand dynasty, chose Shiraz as his capital; we continue to Vakil complex, Vakil Mosque, Bazar, and the public bath remaining from his reign. We also visit the colorful Nasirolmolk mosque. We will visit the Eram Garden, Naranjestan Palace, and the tombs of world famous poets Hafez and Saadi in the afternoon. Overnight Shiraz.
Day 7: Shiraz – Persepolis – Shiraz
A new day on our Iran Tours for Australians, exploring Persepolis.
On an excursion day, you will visit the most magnificent city of the ancient world, Persepolis, which is now registered as a UNESCO world heritage site. Persepolis was the ceremonial capital of the Persian Empire during the Achemaenian era. The site, 125,000 sq.m. in area, comprises various reception halls and palaces, private palaces, royal treasury, and fortifications, where we find the tomb of Cyrus the Great and remains of Achaemenian palaces and edifices. We continue our excursion by visiting Naghsh-e-Rostam, the Achaemenian necropolis (city of the dead), before returning to Shiraz. Overnight Shiraz.
Day 8: Departure
You will be transferred to Shiraz airport to catch your flight home from Shiraz itself or via a connecting flight in Tehran.
