Day 1: Arrival in Tehran
Arrive at Imam Khomeini International Airport and transfer to your hotel.
Welcome dinner and briefing on the journey ahead.
Day 3: Tehran to Qazvin – The Alamut Valley
Iran’s Ancient Graveyards Tour continues! Journey to Qazvin and onward to the Alamut Valley, famous for the Assassins’ fortress. Nearby, explore ancient burial sites that reflect the region’s turbulent history.
Return to Qazvin for the night.
Day 4: Qazvin to Hamedan
Depart from Qazvin to Hamedan. The first stop will be at the Ali Sadr Cave, one of the world’s most magnificent water caves. After exploring the cave, we’ll head to the city of Hamedan. The tour will include a visit to the Ganjnameh inscriptions, followed by exploration of Hegmataneh, featuring the Hegmataneh Museum and the historic Hegmataneh cemetery.
Overnight stay in Hamedan.
Day 5: Hamedan to Kermanshah – Taq-e Bostan and Bisotun
Travel to Kermanshah to visit the historical sites of Taq-e Bostan and the Bisotun inscription. Explore ancient burial practices through rock reliefs and inscriptions.

Day 6: Kermanshah to Shiraz – Via Flight
Begin with a morning flight to Shiraz. Our first visit will be to the Dar-al-Salam Cemetery, one of Iran’s oldest cemeteries, known for its ancient tombstones adorned with fascinating carvings. Afterwards, we will explore the Vakil Bazaar and Vakil Mosque, immersing ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere and architectural beauty. The day concludes with an evening visit to the Shah-e Cheragh Mausoleum, a major pilgrimage site renowned for its history and stunning architecture.
Day 7: Shiraz – Naqsh-e Rostam and Cyrus the Great’s Tomb
Explore Naqsh-e Rostam, an ancient necropolis, and the Tomb of Cyrus the Great at Pasargadae, marveling at the Achaemenid burial customs.
Return to Shiraz for the night.
Day 8: Shiraz to Yazd – Tower of Silence
Drive to Yazd. Visit the Zoroastrian Towers of Silence, where traditional sky burials were performed. Learn about Zoroastrian funeral rites and the significance of these sites.
Overnight in Yazd.
Day 9: Yazd to Isfahan
Depart for Isfahan. Explore the city’s historical sites, including the Armenian Vank Cathedral in the Jolfa district, reflecting on the city’s multicultural past.

Day 10: Isfahan – The Historical Jewish Cemetery ( Pir Bakran)
Today starts another exciting day on our Iran’s Ancient Graveyards Tour in Isfahan’s Jewish Cemetery. Visit the historical Jewish Cemetery in Isfahan, one of the oldest in Iran, showcasing the deep historical roots of Jewish communities in the area.

Day 11: Isfahan to Tehran – Departure
Return to Tehran for any last-minute shopping or sightseeing.
Farewell dinner and transfer to Imam Khomeini International Airport for departure flights.
