Chahkooh Canyon - Iran Tourist Attractions
Chahkooh Canyon
Chahkooh Canyon is one of the seven wonders of Qeshm and a key site of the Qeshm Geopark. It is located in the western part of the island’s northern coast, in the central part of the geopark. Situated in the Shahab region, about 70 kilometers from Qeshm and near the village of Chahoo-e Sharqi, the Chahkooh Canyon is a stunning natural attraction.
The Chahkooh Valley is considered one of Iran’s wonders. Its beauty and uniqueness are so striking that stepping into it feels like entering another planet. The canyon showcases nature’s artistry. With its unusual and distinct landscape, nature’s handiwork here is unlike anywhere else on Earth. The canyon features 100-meter-deep rocks with a bizarre appearance that will inevitably captivate visitors with their grandeur.
The amazing and angle-less shapes of the rocks in Chahkooh Canyon astonish everyone and demonstrate the power of nature. The rocks in the valley are so smooth and polished that they seem almost spongy. Visitors are left to ponder how time, with the tools of water and wind, has triumphed over the hard nature of stone.
