Boujagh National Park in Gilan is a significant natural habitat and tourist destination, known for its diverse flora and fauna. It’s a refuge for valuable species and migratory birds from North Siberia. The park combines forest, sea, river, and wetland ecosystems and is home to 248 plant species. Its rich biodiversity includes over 50 aquatic species in the Sefidrud River and various mammals. An important birdwatching site, the park hosts 234 bird species, including 12 endangered ones. It’s a key wintering ground for migratory birds and a breeding ground for native aquatic birds.
