2. Rudkhan Castle

Distance: Approximately 50 km southwest of Rasht.

Highlights: Embark on a trek through lush forested hills to reach Rudkhan Castle, a medieval fortress that dates back to the Sasanian era. The hike can be vigorous but the views and the historical atmosphere of the castle are rewarding.

3. Fuman

Distance: About 50 km west of Rasht.
