This ancient cave, dating back to the Jurassic period, is situated on the northern slopes of the Zagros Mountains near the village of Ali Sadr. It is unique as a marsh cave in Iran and features a vast lake, making it a significant natural attraction. The cave, about 335 kilometers from Tehran, was designated as Iran’s 23rd natural heritage site in 2009. Similar caves are rare, with few examples in countries like France and Australia.
