The Ancient Code of the Persian Warrior

Long before modern martial arts were organized into schools, Persian warriors trained inside the Zurkhaneh—the House of Strength.

Recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, Zurkhaneh blends athletic training with music, poetry, ethics, and spirituality. Every movement is performed to the rhythm of the morshed’s drum while verses from the Shahnameh remind participants that courage, generosity, humility, and self-control define a true warrior.

More Than Strength

Most martial arts tours focus on combat techniques.

This experience explores something deeper.

You’ll discover how Persian warrior culture connects physical fitness with character, history, literature, and community. Every training session becomes an opportunity to understand the values that shaped Persian civilization for centuries while visiting some of Iran’s most important historical sites.

Designed for all fitness levels, no previous martial arts experience is required.

Guest Experiences

“I’ve trained in karate and Muay Thai for years, but Zurkhaneh introduced an entirely different philosophy. It wasn’t about defeating an opponent—it was about mastering yourself.”

— Daniel, 41, Australia

“Standing inside a centuries-old Zurkhaneh while the drum echoed through the hall gave me goosebumps. It felt more like entering a sacred space than a gym.”

— Peter, 47, Ireland

Persian Warrior Philosophy

Zurkhaneh teaches that true strength begins with character.

This philosophy has survived for hundreds of years and continues to shape the atmosphere inside every House of Strength across Iran.
