Day 1: Kermanshah - Sahneh
Embarking on a journey from Kermanshah, our destination is the captivating city of Sahneh, situated 65 km to the east. Departing from Imam Khomeini Square in Kermanshah and heading towards the Tehran Road, we find ourselves in Sahneh after approximately 45 minutes of travel. Our first stop is the Darbande Sahneh complex, home to the legendary tombs of Shirin and Farhad, set amidst breathtaking natural beauty. To fully appreciate this site, plan for a visit lasting about an hour and a half.
As we explore, the Darband River, with its thunderous waterfalls and springs, offers a spectacular natural display. For lunch, we have the option to dine at one of the restaurants near the Darband complex, enjoying local cuisine in the midst of stunning surroundings.
On our return to Kermanshah, a visit to the Biston World Complex is highly recommended, allowing us to further immerse ourselves in the region’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
