Off the Beaten Path: A Journey from Tehran to Tafarsh
Some Tehranis have an unknown destination when they leave Tehran. The congestion and traffic of the northern routes, on the one hand, and the repetition of goals, on the other hand, make the capital residents always look for new and different destinations. If you are among this group of Tehranis, we have an additional offer for you.
This journey starts in Tehran. Choose the route from Tehran to Taleghan through the Tehran-Qazvin highway and spend a night in this green area. See Taleghan Dam and Lake and visit one or two examples of Taleghan’s 72 villages. “Karkbud Waterfall” is also located in a town with the same name in Taleghan.
On the second day of the trip, go to Boyin Zahra from Nazarabad. Boyin-Zahra has many scenic villages around it, among which we can mention Rudak, Shakhdar, Khayraj and Chalambar.
Leave for Saveh from Boyin Zahra. Saveh is famous for its pomegranate gardens. Also, Dokhtar Castle, the underground city of Ave and Jame Mosque are among the monuments in Saveh. Even though you have had a busy day, it is better to reach Qom and use the accommodation facilities of this city.
On the morning of the third day, leave Qom for Kashan. Sightseeing in Kashan takes one day. On this one day, you should see such monuments as Fin Garden, Sialk Hill, Bazaar and Agha Bozor Mosque, and if you are traveling in spring, go to Qamsar and Gulab Giri workshops. You can stay the night in Barzok village fourth day. Leave for Dilijan the following day.
In Dilijan, see the “Chal Nakhjir” cave, and if you are interested in flowers and greenhouses, stop in the neighborhood and take a tour of its vast greenhouses. Then go to Khorheh and see the Greek-style stone columns up close.
Spend the night in Ashtian. Visit the mansion of Mostofi al-Mamalek, the Ashtian Museum, and the villages of Aho and Shahrab in Ashtian and leave Ashtian towards the travel destination, Tafarsh.
Tafarsh is known for its date gardens. In spring and autumn, you can see beautiful views in this city.
Tell us about the sort of itinerary you have in mind. In particular, places you want to visit, the accommodation you have in mind, activities you would like to do, and any special interests you have (e.g., temples, local history, wildlife, etc.). The more information you provide, the better.
