Tour Itinerary
We want to inform you that this tour is not bound to specific dates. It’s an introductory Iran tour designed to be flexible and adaptable to your schedule and preferences. Whether you wish to explore the wonders of Iran in the spring, summer, fall, or winter, the opportunity is always available. We aim to make your dream trip come true, allowing you to discover Iran’s diverse cultural heritage, natural beauty, and warm hospitality at your convenience. Whenever you are ready to embark on this incredible journey, we’ll be here, eager to curate an unforgettable experience that aligns perfectly with your desires.
Day 1: Khorramshahr Resilience
It is better to visit the Khorramshahr War Museum and see the famous Khorramshahr Grand Mosque up close before starting the route. This is the mosque you have seen many times in the news about the liberation of Khorramshahr. The old bridge of Khorramshahr is also a place that witnessed many events during the occupation of this city.
Brazil is located near Khorramshahr! A place where you should put on Ray-Ban glasses and visit the Rangooniha Mosque and walk around Shatt. You must have seen “Mino Island” if you are interested in war movies. So you can go to this island in Abadan.
Now it’s time to leave Abadan and Khorramshahr for Ahvaz. It is better to know that you have less than 2 hours to go to the center of Khuzestan province. So it’s better to prepare yourself because many sights await you in Ahvaz.
One of the most enjoyable experiences in Ahvaz is walking along the edge of Karon at sunset and watching the view of the White Bridge. Lashkar Abad market, or the famous falafel line of Ahvaz, is one of the places we suggest you visit. As the night passes and the sun rises, continue your journey towards the north of Khuzestan.
Day 2: Waterways of Shushtar
The next destination on the second day of the trip is Shushtar. This is where you step into the ancient area of Iran—the land of water structures is registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Darion Creek, Kolah Ferangi Tower of Shushtar and Mostofi’s House are among the sights of Shushtar.
Tourists and history lovers go to visit Shush along with Shushtar. Apadana Palace, Shush Castle or Acropolis, Tomb of Daniel Nabi, Shush and Haftpeh and most importantly, Chaghazanbil Ziggurat are among the historical monuments of Shush.
It is better to reach Dezful at night, rest the night and continue your journey to Dezful.
Day 3: Ancient Echoes of Dezful
We suggest that you go to Dezful to find the old texture of this city and see the architectural features of this city closely. The water structures of Dezful, along with the aqueducts of this city, show the importance of managing water resources in this region from the distant past. It is better not to miss the historical site of Jundishapur.
When you have explored all the details of Dezful, you can also see Andimeshk. “Pol Saihe” is located 8 km from Andimeshk to Shush and on the eastern side of the road. Likewise, Amir Seyf’s tomb and Chehel Pa’s protected area are among the sights of Andimeshk.
Dey 4: Valleys of Lorestan
By passing through Andimeshk, you gradually leave the Khuzestan province. The next destination is Abdanan. A city of Ilam districts, the sights of which include Imamzadeh Seyyed Salahuddin Muhammad, Behind the Castle, Twin Black Cow Lake, and Anjireh village. Now, it’s time to leave this city for Dareh Shahr.
Darehshahr valley is located at the foothills of “Kabirkouh” and borders Lorestan from the east. Among the sights of Dareh Shahr Valley, we can mention Bahram Chubin Gorge, Simreh River, Madakto Historical City, Chahar Taghi Fire Temple, Gaumishan Historical Bridge and Majin Gorge. After a night stay in Dareh Shahr Valley, you will enter the Lorestan area at sunrise on the fifth day of the trip.
Day 5: Khorramabad Splendor
On your way, you will see cities, including Poldokhtar. This city is because of ancient bridges and their communication importance. One of these bridges, which is the exact name of the town, I attributed to the Sassanid period, and the other, Gaumishan Bridge, Kalmakareh Cave, as well as various wetlands and oak forests, are among the sights of Poldokhtar.
This 5-day trip, which starts from Khorramshahr, ends in Khorramabad. Khorramabad, the capital of Lorestan province, is the land of spectacular waterfalls. The land of skyscrapers and Shapuri Bridge, as well as Lake Q. Our suggestion is to watch the landscape of Khorramabad at night from the roof of Khorramabad.
