3 Days

Kermanshah  Marivan  Sanandaj

Day 1: Kermanshah

Our journey begins in the vibrant city of Kermanshah, where history and nature converge. After immersing ourselves in the ancient wonders of Taq Bostan and the architectural beauty of the Tekeya of Moaven Al Molk and Sarab Niloufar, we’ll venture off the beaten path towards Paveh. This route, winding through Ravansar and Javanroud, offers breathtaking views near the Nausud border area, showcasing the scenic beauty of Iran’s landscape.

One hundred kilometers from Kermanshah, after Ravansar, our guide will reveal a hidden gem: Qori Qala, a castle buried within the earth, defying traditional castle placements atop mountains. Known for its unique location, Qori Qala cave holds mysteries waiting to be unveiled. Accommodation around the cave includes residential camps and rural houses, offering a glimpse into local life.

Day 2: Paveh

Continuing our journey, we reach the stepped city of Paveh, a place of historical significance and natural beauty. This city, rejuvenated after playing a crucial role during the Holy Defense, welcomes visitors with open arms. The road to Dezli introduces us to more of the region’s captivating landscapes, leading us to the Jhalane Pass and the enchanting village of Oramantakht. A visit to Oraman Takht requires at least half a day to appreciate its beauty and cultural richness fully.

Day 3: Marivan - Sanandaj

After returning from Oraman Takht, we continue our route and reach the Marivan junction. This road directs us towards Marivan and the scenic Zarivar Lake. However, if time is limited, we’ll head towards Sarovabad and Negel instead. Here, the Nagal Mosque, housing one of the oldest Qurans in the world, is a must-visit, along with the adjacent small museum beside the village mosque.

Following our visit to the Quran of Nagal, a breathtaking mountainous road awaits us. Skirting the northern side of Shahu Mountain in Kurdistan, this route leads us through deep valleys and alongside towering cliffs.

Our journey culminates in the picturesque city of Sanandaj. Essential stops here include Abider Park, Kurd House, and Khosroabad Mansion, offering a glimpse into the rich cultural tapestry and architectural heritage of Sanandaj.
